Continuing in the spirit of the conference series launched 20 years ago in 2002, the aim of the Origins7 conference is to contribute to research on the archaeology of Predynastic and Early Dynastic Egypt. This scientific meeting has continued to develop over the past six conferences, and we hope to make further advancements in Paris. Leading experts in the field, together with young scholars, will gather and present the latest results on archaeological fieldwork and research relevant to questions surrounding the origins of the world’s first territorial state of Pharaonic Egypt.
